Newcode’s unique Visual Basic conversion process is unlike the line-by-line converters offered by our competition because it allows code reengineering and re-enhancing during the migration process. The Newcode migration tool enables the migrated application take advantage of the increased functionality of the VB.NET framework while maintaining all the core functionality of the original application.
As a productivity tool, NewCode's migrater will simplify your VB modernization project by reducing the amount of time and money needed for conversion. Although no migration tool can provide a 100% accurate conversion, you can be confident that NewCode's architected migration process is the most advanced of its kind. As a result, you benefit by the reduced need for legacy coding skills and a reduction in costs while experiencing accelerated completion times. The migration tool takes a matter of minutes to convert your entire project.

After registering your details, download the NewCode extension, follow the installation instructions and run the NewCode extension within Visual Studio. When you select legacy files to upgrade, the NewCode wizard counts the number of code lines in each file and uses a Web service to authenticate you and authorise your conversion. Because the NewCode tools provide extensions to Microsoft Visual Studio 2008/2010 for Visual Basic migration to .NET you will need to have Microsoft Visual Studio pre-installed and have internet access allowing SOAP communication.
Note: the only information uploaded to our server is your username, password and a number which is a count of the code lines in your files. We never upload your legacy files or your code.
